3 reasons why socialism sucks for women

We’re kicking off Women’s History Month with 3 reasons why socialism does more harm than good for women. While women’s day has socialist roots and promotes collectivist feminism, LOLA chapters are working hard to prove otherwise.

Socialism promotes a victim mentality
Socialism teaches that everything is a zero-sum game – that if one person gains, it means the other person loses. LOLA believes in the power of voluntary exchange where both sides win.

Socialism teaches women they are oppressed, not empowered
Through the Marxist dichotomy that you must either be the oppressed or oppressor, socialism teaches women that in order to win they must make men lose.

⭐ Socialism promotes women dependent on the state
Socialism tells women that the only way for them to succeed is through big government action. Women do not need the government for them to feel empowered.

Keep an eye out for all the Women’s Day events taking place across the globe.
Happy Women’s History Month!

Libertarians: Pro-choice on Everything Except Abortion?

The talk was organized by Feminists for Liberty and featured LOLA leaders Kat Murti (LOLA Washington, D.C.) and Izabela Patriota (LOLA Development Director). “It’s one of the most respectful and reasonable discussions on this topic I’ve heard so far”, a viewer shares. Taylor Swift Fans Should Celebrate Her Becoming a Billionaire

The recent Taylor Swift and Ticketmaster fiasco turned many fans against the artist, resulting in many of them calling her out for being a ‘capitalist’. In this article by Justyna Piątek-Pawłowska (LOLA Poland chapter founder), Justyna highlights how Swift fans do not know what ‘capitalism’ actually means and how the accumulation of wealth can be ethical. Celebrate International  Women’s Day with the LOLA Mexico City Chapter!

LOLAs will discuss the original, classical liberal feminism and how the victim mentality narrative pushed by radical feminism harms women instead of lifting them up. Finally, LOLA Latin American leaders will explain why we should go back to demand equality, not equity, under the law and allow women to pursue their own happiness.
