Equal Opportunities for Women in Business?
LILA Uruguay hosted an event to discuss the importance of free enterprise and the positive impact it has on women’s lives. The event focused on helping women develop skills in their professional lives to achieve financial independence. Economic freedom is by far the greatest tool to achieve equality amongst men and women. Three successful Uruguayan businesswomen shared their experience: Isabelle Chaquiriand (Executive Director of ATMA and Dean of the Catholic University), Virginia Staricco (President of Postal Cargo, LaNave Multimodal and LaNave Foundation) and Elisa Facio (President of ANDA) with 150 members in attendance..

LOLA Argentina hosted “They, Behind the Scenes” in honor of International Women’s Day, on Monday, March 8. This was a very special event in which attendees networked with Argentinian women who are successfully working day in and day out to improve the quality of life for the people in their communities. The leadership these women provide is essential to creating a country with greater equal opportunities.

LOLA Ecuador co-hosted a Facebook Live event with Libre Razòn featuring Antonella Marty. The discussion focused on post-pandemic economic prosperity, the challenges facing the region, and the emerging opportunities.

LOLA Ecuador partnered with like-minded organizations for the 5th Edition of Liberty Rail. The event offered an invaluable discussion about the unprecedented challenges COVID-19 has brought upon us. Now more than ever, leadership is characterized by resilience, adaptability, and critical thinking. This event offered an open dialogue about promoting these skills in roles many young individuals hold.

Is Education an Essential Activity? 
LOLA Brazil and UJL Rio Grande do Sul hosted a panel on the reality of education amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Education is one of the most important areas when we talk about developing a nation, also to understand the values that imply in development itself, as individuals. As the pandemic changed everyone’s life, it offered an opportunity to examine the current educational systems in place all while defending individual freedom.

Ayn Rand Book Club
LOLA Paraná, Brazil hosted an Ayn Rand Book Club event. The event was virtual and dealt with chapters 2 and 3 of the book “The Virtue of Selfishness” by Ayn Rand: Mental Health Versus Mysticism and Self-sacrifice and Ethics in Emergency Situations.

Free From Hunger 
LOLA Brazil collaborated with other like-minded organizations to provide for community members in need, taking volunteerism to a whole new level. In Brazil, thousands of people are in need of food and supplies. Without emergency aid and without being able to work, people are unable to support themselves. That is why LOLA Brazil has joined in solidarity to collect and allocate necessary resources to those who need them.

Unveiling the Entrepreneurs Defense Code
Have you ever heard of the Entrepreneur Defense Code (CDE)? LOLA Brazil hosted State Representative of Rio de Janeiro, Adriana Balthazar, on an Instagram live to discuss the Entrepreneur Defense Code. The CDE is a bill presented by Brazil’s libertarian party ‘Novo’ and similar projects are already being processed in several states. State Rep. Adriana Balthazar explained the project of law that establishes norms for the free initiative and the exercise of economic activity.

Menstrual Poverty
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to menstruate and not have access to feminine hygiene products?  Well, women in poverty suffer from a lack of resources every day and during International Women’s Month, there is no better time to address the issue. LOLA Brazil brings attention to the issue of “Menstrual Poverty” and the ways to combat the problem in a discussion with Cris Monteiro, The State Representative of São Paulo, Marina Helou, and Júlia Lisbôa, from Girl UP.

LOLA Brazil connects with LIVRES to debate the difficult questions. This open forum debate created a healthy environment for discussion about barriers to gender freedom.

LOLA Argentina Podcast 
LOLA Buenos Aires, Argentina launched a Podcast this month called LOLA tente.
In Argentina, it is common for people to have an incorrect or rather prejudiced concept about libertarianism. LOLA Argentina designed this podcast in part to tackle this automatic rejection of libertarian ideas as a way to make it more interesting and easier to hear a talk about various liberty ideas.

The purpose of the podcast is not only to communicate values of libertarian ideology but show them in practice. For each episode, the podcast invites professionals in their field to chat about popular topics of interest such as individual rights, freedom of speech, and women’s rights

The first episode talks about lawtech and the importance of free speech with Gabriela Commatteo.
