LOLA @ the Liberty Forum and Freedom Dinner 2023

LOLA participated in the 2023 Liberty Forum and Freedom Dinner hosted by the Atlas Network in New York City on November 15-16. During the event, LOLA Director of Development, Izabela Patriota, led a panel discussion that addressed the challenges women face in leadership roles. This panel provided a valuable platform for leaders to share their experiences and insights, fostering networking opportunities and personal growth.

Eight leaders from seven countries showcased LOLA’s diversity and global reach at our booth, facilitating connections with potential new members and creating five new chapters worldwide, including in Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and New Zealand.

During the event, LOLA’s global strategies were reviewed and aligned. Holly Jean Soto, the Director of Operations, and Anne Dias, the Chapter Program Leader, had a meeting with Ayman Fatma, the Asia Region Leader, to gain insights into the region’s dynamics in 2023 and establish new goals for 2024. Linda Kudov, a member of the Africa Region, provided valuable perspectives on libertarianism in Africa, leading to further discussions on strengthening the region.

Three members of the LOLA Brazil board collected valuable insights during the Liberty Forum and Freedom Dinner. These insights will be utilized to enhance the upcoming LOLA Leadership Retreat in Brasília, scheduled for early December. The connections established and knowledge gained during these events are expected to play a vital role in driving LOLA’s progress and significantly contributing to the fulfillment of its mission.

LOLA thanks the Atlas Network for hosting us and we look forward to next year’s event!
