The Legal Framework of Sanitation
The Legal Framework of Sanitation Bill provides for the universalization of the service and paves the way for the participation of the private sector. The bill generated debates and divided opinions when it was being voted in the House of Representatives and the Senate. Now, after being sanctioned, alleging unconstitutionality, the PDT filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court against the Sanitation Framework. To discuss the new law, the USP Liberal group, in partnership with LOLA Brazil, invited Bia Nóbrega, a graduate in Public Management, Political Consultant at Ideas Radicals & Voli Consulting and Vice President of Leadership in Schools.

Fake News
On May 13, 2020, Senator Alessandro Vieira filed the bill of the Brazilian Law on Freedom, Responsibility, and Transparency on the Internet. After more than 150 amendments, the law was passed in the Federal Senate and became known as “FAKE News PL”. The law aims to strengthen the democratic process through the fight against disinformation and the promotion of the diversity of information on the Internet in Brazil. However, the law has controversial points. LOLA Brasil and USP Liberal, hosted a debate on the issue featuring: Jéssika Peixoto and Izabela Patriota.
