Autonomy and freedom are concepts defended by liberal thought for centuries. From these ideas rose liberal feminism represented by authors such as Mary Wollstonecraft and Harriet Taylor but the struggle for equity, rights, freedom, and autonomy remains. In this session, LOLA Brazil had the opportunity to discuss the advancement of liberal ideas through women and their importance in it with Chapter Leader, Mari Valentim, and special guest Cris Monteiro, the councilor of São Paulo.
