Gun Rights Activist
Norfolk, VA
Raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Savannah was taught about firearms by her grandfather at a young age. Despite her background, she attended a university that prohibited firearms on campus and chose not to bring her gun with her. After becoming a victim of sexual violence while away at school without her gun, Savannah turned her passive support of the Second Amendment into a mission to protect and defend the right to self-defense. Her activism has been featured in various networks and publications including CNN, NRA TV, and The Virginian Pilot. In February 2019, Savannah was invited to testify in front of the United States House Judiciary Committee in opposition to H.R. 8: the Bipartisan Background Check Act of 2019. She’s written about her experiences in various publications including Washington Examiner, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and The Wall Street Journal.
