This International Women’s Month, LOLA’s chapters, speakers and activists were committed to fight for liberty across the globe. With 124 Chapters all over the world, LOLA acknowledged the struggles women face in their fight against government tyranny.
Each region has their own struggle when it comes to fighting for liberty: from free speech in India to violence against women in Guatemala. This Women’s Month, LOLA committed to reach new audiences through exposing the consequences of big government and what the LOLA community is fighting against.
This Women’s Month, LOLA called on the global community to identify and fight against the biggest threats to liberty in their country. From special chapter events, unique training and collaborative work with partner organizations, LOLA is proving that women are the best ambassadors of liberty.

One in three women have been subjected to either physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence or non-partner sexual violence in their lifetime.
Sexual violence towards women occurs for many reasons. However, one powerful way we can combat sexual violence is providing women with economic power so they can escape these situations as easily as possible.
Imagine a woman in a domestically abusive relationship. The best way for her to escape this situation is if she knows that she can survive without her partner’s income. Economic freedom and opportunities allows people to leave domestically abusive relationships as it means they don’t have to be financially reliant on their partner.
True freedom is rooted in the mutual acknowledgment and respect of individual autonomy. Consent forms the cornerstone of liberty, intertwining the rights and responsibilities that sustain a free society.
