The Ladies of Liberty Alliance (LOLA) is proud to celebrate a remarkable achievement by our Director of Development, Izabela Patriota, who has been inducted into the 1995 Society by America’s Future during its 2026 Annual Gala & Awards.
The 1995 Society honors exceptional young professionals who are advancing the classical liberal tradition and strengthening America’s future through leadership, ideas, and service. Established in 2023, the Society continues America’s Future’s longstanding commitment to recognizing the next generation of leaders dedicated to advancing freedom.
Izabela was recognized alongside two outstanding liberty leaders, Stephanie Slade and Matthew Hurtt, for their contributions to the liberty movement and their commitment to building a freer and more prosperous society.
A Journey Rooted in Liberty
Izabela’s path to this recognition reflects years of dedication to advancing freedom and expanding opportunities for women worldwide.
Originally from northeastern Brazil, she earned her law degree before completing a master’s degree in Law and Regulation and later a PhD in Law and Political Economy from the University of São Paulo. In 2019, she moved to the United States as an intern at the Cato Institute, a decision she describes as the turning point of her career.
Her journey with LOLA began in 2018 as a volunteer. Through her passion, leadership, and commitment to empowering women, she became LOLA’s Director of Development in 2021.
Since then, Izabela has played a pivotal role in the organization’s growth, helping lead LOLA to become a million-dollar organization for the first time while expanding opportunities for women to become leaders in the global liberty movement.
Championing Women’s Leadership
Throughout her career, Izabela has consistently advocated for market-based solutions, individual liberty, and women’s leadership. Her work focuses on equipping women with the confidence, skills, and networks needed to become effective advocates for freedom in their communities.
One of her current priorities is expanding LOLA’s presence across the United States while strengthening leadership development programs for women around the world.
Reflecting on her motivation, Izabela shared:
“I believe only free societies allow people to truly become the authors of their own lives. Without freedom, individuals are reduced to pieces in someone else’s plan instead of building their own path.”
Living the American Dream
Receiving this award carries special meaning for Izabela.
As an immigrant from Brazil, she described the recognition as a reflection of the opportunities made possible by a free society.
“As an immigrant from Brazil, receiving an American award like this feels like living the American Dream that inspired me to come here in the first place. It means a lot personally, but it also reflects the incredible campaign the LOLA women organized to support me. Their support reminds me why I believe so deeply in the promise of a free society and the opportunities the United States represents.”
Congratulations, Izabela!
Everyone at LOLA congratulates Izabela on this well-deserved recognition. Her leadership, vision, and dedication continue to inspire women across the globe to embrace liberty, lead with confidence, and create lasting change.
We are incredibly proud to have her on our team and look forward to seeing her continue advancing freedom and empowering women for years to come.
