Help Sanjida Reach Her TFAS Dream

Your Support Can Help Sanjida Attend TFAS

Sanjida Parvin is a self-dependent Master of Social Science student in International Relations at Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh, and the Chapter Lead for Ladies of Liberty Alliance (LOLA) Bangladesh.

She has been selected to attend the prestigious TFAS Prague 2026 Summer Program at Charles University and was awarded the program’s highest scholarship of $2,750, covering the majority of her tuition and housing costs. Despite this generous support, she still faces a significant financial gap for airfare, visa fees, additional institutional tuition costs, and daily living expenses, including weekend meals and dinners.

As an independent student, these remaining expenses are beyond her financial means. Attending TFAS Prague is a transformative opportunity that will directly strengthen her master’s research in institutional political economy while providing world-class training in leadership, economics, and public policy.

More importantly, this experience will extend far beyond her personal academic journey. Sanjida is committed to using the knowledge, networks, and skills gained through TFAS to expand her impact in Bangladesh. As a leader in LOLA, she mentors and empowers young women, helping them develop leadership skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of individual liberty. By supporting her journey, donors are investing not only in her future but also in the future of the many women she will continue to inspire and empower throughout her community.

Standing with Venezuela: Support Families Affected by the Earthquake

Standing with Venezuela

The Ladies of Liberty Alliance (LOLA) stands in solidarity with the people of Venezuela as they face the devastating aftermath of the recent earthquake. Our thoughts are with every family grieving the loss of loved ones, searching for those still missing, or rebuilding after losing their homes and livelihoods.

According to the latest available reports, the earthquake has resulted in approximately 188 deaths, more than 1,500 injuries, over 200 people trapped beneath the rubble, and nearly 3,000 displaced families. As rescue efforts continue, these figures remain preliminary and may change as more information becomes available.

How You Can Help

If you would like to support relief efforts, you can contribute through the following verified fundraising campaign, which is helping provide emergency assistance to communities affected by the disaster.

A Message from LOLA Venezuela

“Venezuelans are facing one of the most difficult moments in our nation’s recent history. Beyond the destruction caused by the earthquake, this tragedy has exposed the consequences of years of institutional deterioration that have left our country without the capacity to respond to an emergency of this magnitude. Hospitals lack essential supplies, emergency services are overwhelmed, and lifesaving equipment and resources are critically scarce.

In many places, it has been civilians who have rushed into the rubble to search for survivors, carry the injured to safety, organize collection centers, and provide the first response. Right now, these are lives we are trying to save, and every hour matters.

We ask you to stand with Venezuela during this humanitarian emergency. Any donation, no matter the size, will help provide food, clean water, medicine, hygiene products, and other essential supplies. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this campaign can help us reach someone who can.

The Venezuelan people have shown extraordinary resilience through years of hardship, and we know we will overcome this tragedy as well. Until then, we are profoundly grateful for your generosity, your prayers, and your solidarity. Thank you for standing with Venezuela when we need it most”.

Standing with Communities Affected by the Ebola Outbreak in Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo

Ebola Virus Disease outbreak in Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo

The ongoing Ebola Virus Disease outbreak in Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo continues to threaten vulnerable communities, particularly in remote areas where access to healthcare, information, and communication remains limited.

LOLA is proud to have an active chapter in the region, where our local leader is taking the initiative to engage with trusted grassroots organizations and identify meaningful ways to support affected communities. By working directly with local partners, our chapter is helping strengthen awareness efforts, amplify community voices, and explore opportunities for humanitarian assistance where it is needed most.

One such partner is UPDCI asbl, whose team has been conducting emergency community mobilization and public awareness campaigns across North Kivu despite difficult operating conditions. Their work focuses on Ebola prevention, community education, humanitarian response, and the protection of women and girls in high-risk areas.

Our local LOLA leadership is actively exploring collaborative efforts with UPDCI asbl and other community stakeholders to support these vital initiatives. We believe that locally led solutions and strong partnerships are essential for creating lasting impact during times of crisis.

As this effort develops, LOLA remains committed to standing alongside the courageous individuals and organizations working on the front lines. Through collaboration, compassion, and community-driven action, we hope to contribute to protecting lives and strengthening resilience in Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
