2. Socialism is the best way to destroy women’s rights

Libertarian Feminism continues to be a popular topic discussed by LOLA Leaders.

Ana has a very common story to tell: after leaving Venezuela and arriving in a new country, she has met with people who call themselves “defenders of human rights” but who are fans of the system her family has run away from. In this talk with Libertarian Party TV, Ana discusses Latin America, Canada under Trudeau, and LOLA in Toronto, alongside Martha Bueno and Zach Foster. Watch the full video here.

3. Gloria Alverez and Jo Jorgensen train LOLA Leaders

Gloria Alverez sat down for a personal training session with LOLA’s top leaders on political activism at the 2021 LOLA Leadership Retreat in Washington, D.C.

Jo Jorgensen trained leaders on how to campaign, raise money, attract voters, and more in this campaign training. Jo also shared her personal experience of running as a libertarian candidate in a male-dominant space. This is part of an ongoing campaign training hosted by LOLA Brazil. LOLA Brazil leaders received Jo’s training in order to run for their own campaign spreading the message of liberty. Thanks for joining us, Jo Jorgensen!

4. Explosion of LOLA in Latin America

  • LOLA chapters are growing worldwide, and LOLA Latin America continues to be one of LOLA’s fastest-growing regions with 30 Chapters throughout 11 countries since its initial launch in the city of Rio de Janeiro in 2018.
  • With a community of over 500 members, LOLA Latin America reports that more than half of its members are coming to the ideas of liberty for the first time through LOLA. Join or start your LOLA Chapter

6. LOLA Leaders in Politics

LOLA Brazil continues to grow in the political sector of Brazil. Last year six members of LOLA Brazil won city council elections under Brazil’s libertarian party ‘Novo’. In 2021, 6 parliamentarians have joined LOLA Brazil:

State Deputy of Rio de Janeiro: Adriana Balthazar
State Deputy of Alagoas: Cibele Moreira
State Deputy of Sergipe: Kitty Lima
Councilor of Lavras: Carol Coelho
Councilor of Rio Claro: Carol Gomes
Councilor of Porto Alegre: Mari Pimentel

Now, there are a total of 12 parliamentarians associated with LOLA Brazil. Two members (Adriana and Mari Pimentel) are part of the Novo party but all defend classical liberal principles in their positions.
