Sunday Brunch and Liberty
The LOLA D.C Chapter hosted an open liberty-themed discussion over a Sunday Brunch. The open conversation introduced liberty-curious women to the ideas and provided a community for women in the liberty movement.

COVID-19’s Impact on Women’s Rights
LOLA AMU hosted an open talk on the impact of the pandemic on women’s individual rights. With the focus on equal opportunities, the ladies spoke about women’s education and the importance of mental health.

Free Markets and Self-Governance
For LOLA Guatemala’s second meet, leaders hosted an open dialogue on capitalism vs protectionism. Attendees talked about the differences between capitalism and protectionism, what each system is, and the consequences of each system to a nation’s economical and social growth. Attendees also discussed how taxes can be damaging and how export and import taxes that politicians sell as “measures to protect small businesses” do more harm than good.

Empowering Women and Busting Myths
Chiming in on the current hot topic of feminism, Leaders of LOLA Venezuela discussed the origins of Liberal (Libertarian) Feminism. Part of the discussion demolished the myths and misconceptions that revolve around libertarian feminism.

Meet and Greet
For LOLA West Michigan’s first event, attendees learned about LOLA as an organization and what it means to be a ‘Lady of Liberty’. Members set out what they would like to accomplish as a group and what future events would look like. LOLA West Michigan aims to create a positive community for like-minded women to discuss current issues, feel empowered by the group, and stand up against tyranny and stand for individual rights together.

LOLA Brazil discussed the differences between maternity and paternity leave in Brazil and how this affects women’s employment and income with Luana, public policy expert at the University of Oxford and an associate of LOLA.

Collectivism and Individualism
South Asia Students for Liberty and Ladies of Liberty Alliance hosted the first post lockdown in-person event in Mumbai. Attendees read and reflected on the essays ‘Theory of Rights’ and ‘Individualism vs Collectivism’ by Ayn Rand.

Women’s Health
With 30 years of experience in medicine, post-graduated in human sexuality and health management, having acted as parliamentary technical advisor in health and active participation in politics through Livres, Dr. Roberta Grabert talked about the fundamental role of women in the area of health, especially with regard to women’s health and topics such as sexuality. In addition, the participation of health professionals in the formulation of public policies focused on this theme, as previously done by Roberta.
