Requirements

 

  • Minimum 3- 5 years of relevant experience in a financial or business occupation, such as accounting.
  • Passionate about our mission and strong understanding of what we do.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Quick in responding to any query or concerns as they come up. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and regulations specific to non-profits.
  • Knowledge of 501(c)(3) regulations and non- profit operations
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Bill.com, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge on best ways to transfer funds to different countries/regions including crypto.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Ability to identify and address financial issues proactively.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once while meeting assigned deadlines.
  • Effectively communicates where they are on all stages of financial projects.
  • High ethical standards and integrity
  • Ability to contribute to strategic planning and provide financial guidance to support the organization’s mission and goals.
  • Self-motivated, deadline- and detail-oriented and very well-organized.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements.
  • Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and more.
  • Ensure compliance with 501(c)(3) regulations and support non- profit operations.
  • Process or prepare all tax forms including 990’s, W-2’s, 1099’s, and more.
  • Process chapter reimbursements and invoices on a daily basis as needed.
  • Find solutions on best ways to transfer funds to different countries/regions including crypto.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Director of Operations. 
  • Ensure accurate financial representation across departments and programs.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the organization can meet its obligations.
  • Financial advising and conducting financial forecasting to anticipate future financial trends and plan accordingly.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization’s long-term goals.
  • Work closely with other departments to support their financial needs and ensure integrated financial planning.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Respond to assigned tasks/projects immediately and complete projects on time

 

Hours/Flexibility

This is a work-at-home position averaging 20- 25 hours per week.

Pay

*Pay commensurate with experience and LOLA’s current budget.
