Are you a creative and dynamic individual with a passion for design and communication? LOLA is excited to announce an opening for a Communications and Design Coordinator! This is a unique opportunity to be part of a vibrant team, working remotely with flexible hours for an average of 25 hours a week.

LOLA Communications & Design Coordinator 

Key Responsibilities:

Designing Captivating Marketing Materials for LOLA

  • Create visually stunning and effective marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, social media graphics, and email templates, that align with LOLA’s brand and mission. Ensure that all these designs are easily accessible in the LOLA drive.  

Promoting Engaging LOLA Events

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote LOLA events, ensuring maximum attendance and engagement. This includes creating promotional materials, managing event listings, and coordinating with speakers and participants.

Crafting Compelling Materials for Donor Relations

  • Design and produce high-quality materials to support donor relations, such as annual reports, donor newsletters, and fundraising appeals. Ensure these materials effectively communicate LOLA’s impact and value to current and potential donors.

Enhancing Visibility of the Chapter and Speakers Programs:

  • Develop promotional content to highlight the activities and achievements of LOLA chapters and speakers programs. This includes creating profiles, success stories, and regular updates to be shared across various platforms.

Coordinating the Production of Merchandise

  • Oversee the design, production, and distribution of LOLA-branded merchandise. Work with vendors to ensure high-quality products and timely delivery, and manage inventory to support fundraising and promotional activities.
  • Prepping and coordinating tabling materials for all LOLA conferences
  • Oversee the design, production, and distribution of LOLA tabling materials and format.

Work with the LOLA team on all communications and design efforts as needed.

 

Skills for this position include:

Graphic Design:

  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other design tools (Canva, Figma).

Marketing:

  • Understanding of digital marketing principles, including social media marketing, email campaigns, and content creation.

Communication: 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for various audiences.

Project Management: 

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and coordinate with various stakeholders.

Creativity: 

  • Ability to develop innovative and visually appealing designs and marketing materials.

Attention to Detail: 

  • Keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality and error-free materials.

Collaboration: 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with different departments and external partners.

Communication: 

  • Must be polite and respectful with others and coordinate on multiple projects simultaneously.

Adaptability: 

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle feedback constructively.

Self-Motivation: 

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and bring creative ideas to the table.
