A Historic Win for LOLA
LOLA is honoured to announce a remarkable achievement at this year’s Liberty Forum: LOLA Chapter Program Lead Anne Dias won first place in the John Blundell Elevator Pitch Competition!
Anne delivered a powerful 60-second pitch spotlighting the fight for María Oropeza’s freedom, a Venezuelan political prisoner detained under Nicolás Maduro’s oppressive regime. Her compelling message highlighted the urgency of María’s case, embodying the broader struggle for freedom in Venezuela and beyond.
Anne’s victory earned LOLA a $1,500 prize, which will directly support our continued advocacy for María’s release. This success not only brought international attention to María Oropeza’s plight but also exemplified the strength and impact of LOLA’s mission.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Atlas Network for providing this platform to amplify the voices of freedom fighters. Anne’s win underscores the power of one voice, raised with conviction, to inspire change and ignite action.
Celebrating Freedom Together
The Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner remains the most inspirational annual event for the freedom movement, offering solidarity, inspiration, and actionable strategies. LOLA is proud to have been part of this gathering and to celebrate the achievements of our members on such a prominent stage.
