From insightful discussions on personal flourishing and practical workshops on happiness and philosophical foundations for freedom, attendees were immersed in thought-provoking sessions in Atlanta. Notably, 30 LOLAs from around the world came together to unite our efforts, make meaningful connections at our booth, and participated in training. This was a rare opportunity for all LOLA leaders to come together from across the globe to receive training from OSI and unite in our efforts to the mission of LOLA face to face. The event also pre-launched the LOLA Activism Fellowship, attracting attendees and securing partnerships to train and support liberty activists. The conference concluded with a celebratory closing banquet and dance, marking the culmination of a transformative experience in Atlanta.

DAY 1 SESSIONS
The LevelUp conference kicked off with an enthusiastic welcome and check-in session, setting the stage for an event filled with insightful discussions and networking opportunities. The evening featured an opening reception and banquet where LOLAs gathered to enjoy dinner and engage with other liberty-minded attendees. This gathering provided a fantastic opportunity for participants to network, share ideas, and build connections.

DAY 2 SESSIONS
The second day began with opening remarks and announcements, followed by a series of enriching sessions. Attendees delved into topics such as “Loving Your Life: A Framework for Flourishing,” led by Biddle, and “Feminism: Zero Sum?” presented by Hirsi Ali. The afternoon sessions included powerful talks on thriving through adversity and the art of breaking rules, culminating in a thought-provoking panel on the future of libertarianism.
A notable highlight of the day was the LOLA Reception hosted for all LOLA leaders. This event offered a dedicated space to connect and discuss and promote liberty and freedom while enjoying pink rose and appetizers. The evening concluded with a lively karaoke & game room, where participants could unwind and have fun.
Friday, June 21st, 2024
DAY 3 SESSIONS
Day three started with a peaceful meditation session, followed by discussions on developing a happiness plan and a panel on the necessity of ending DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives. These sessions underscored the significance of both personal and philosophical growth, exploring diverse topics such as the nature of love as a trade and pathways to achieving peace amidst historical contexts of war. Concurrently, LOLA members engaged in tabling efforts, actively promoting the organization and the newly launched LOLA Activism Fellowship. Interviews with members further enriched these outreach efforts, contributing to a dynamic and interactive conference experience.
Saturday, June 22nd, 2024
DAY 4 SESSIONS
The final day of the conference featured sessions that continued to inspire and educate. Discussions included “The Song of the New World,” “Optimizing Your Health for Happiness,” and an exploration of the philosophical foundations for freedom with references to Adam Smith and Ayn Rand. The afternoon delved into the history of philosophy as a tool for flourishing and concluded with Biddle’s session on “The Self-Shaped Hole.“
The conference wrapped up with a closing banquet and dance, celebrating the connections made and the knowledge gained over the past days. Participants left with renewed motivation and a wealth of insights to apply in their pursuit of liberty and personal growth.
The LevelUp conference was a success, with 30 LOLAs from all around the world attending the event, sessions and developing new relationships. They effectively promoted LOLA’s mission and programs, successfully recruiting new members to LOLA Chapters and partners for our programs. This event also marked the debut of the new LOLA project, the LOLA Activism Fellowship, the first libertarian fellowship designed specifically to trained, support and empower liberty activists. The Activism Fellowship was successfully promoted, attracting candidates and speakers for the program and securing various new partners for it.
