In Bangladesh, children often lack awareness of their fundamental rights, making them vulnerable to exploitation. To address this issue, educational programs and community initiatives are crucial in informing children about their rights to safety, education, health, and freedom from exploitation.
LOLA Dhaka held an event celebrating children’s creativity while promoting their rights. Through drawing, singing, and dancing activities, the event aimed to empower children and raise awareness about their rights. It successfully merged fun with learning, emphasizing the importance of educational programs and community initiatives in safeguarding children’s rights and nurturing their talents for a brighter, freer future.
LOLA LIMA, PERU
CLUB DE LECTURA “LEER ES LIBERTAD” – 1ERA EDICIÓN
“Leer es Libertad” was an open space where a group of girls met for seven consecutive Saturdays at 11 am to share their thoughts on the book “Afrodita Desenmascarada” by María Blanco. This event aimed to bring the girls together in person to share a warm moment and to connect via Google Meet with María Blanco herself, providing an opportunity to ask questions, share comments, and exchange ideas in favor of freedom.
The speaker for the event, María Blanco, holds a PhD in economic and Business Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid. She is a Professor of History and economic institutions at CEU-San Pablo University and combines academic teaching and research with the promotion of liberalism in various media. María Blanco is the author of “Las Tribus Liberales” and “Afrodita Desenmascarada,” and co-author of “Hacienda somos todos, cariño.”
During the event, attendees could interact directly with María Blanco. They engaged in a lively discussion about the state’s role in gender policies, exploring the importance of the private sector as a potential solution to problems that the state attempts to solve without real knowledge. The conversation also highlighted women’s participation in various sectors, including construction and politics, emphasizing the significant contributions and challenges women face in these fields.
The event successfully created a space for meaningful dialogue and connection. By discussing “Afrodita Desenmascarada” and engaging with María Blanco, participants gained deeper insights into issues of gender, freedom, and the intersection of public and private sectors.
LOLA LISBON, PORTUGAL
INTERVIEW WITH A LOLA CANDIDATE FOR EUROPEAN PARLAMENT
Portugal is currently grappling with several significant issues related to economic freedom, including high taxes, disorganized immigration policies, and challenges to freedom of expression. Our recent event provided a platform to discuss these issues in depth, featuring insights from a guest who is both a lawyer and a prospective candidate for the European Parliament.
The guest speaker, a legal expert, shared her perspective on various legal issues she believes need reform. Her professional background provided a rich context for discussing the importance of EU candidates having professional experience in private institutions rather than being career politicians. This perspective sparked a meaningful conversation about the value of diverse experiences in shaping effective and informed policymakers.
The interview also delved into Europe’s broader challenges and the best strategies for addressing them. Topics ranged from economic policies to immigration and freedom of expression, offering a comprehensive view of the obstacles and opportunities ahead.
LOLA SANTA CRUZ, BOLIVIA

LOLA Santa Cruz has successfully formed two strategic alliances with institutions interested in supporting LOLA. This collaboration is intended to strengthen our network and expand our impact. Moreover, the event attracted many attendees, with 86 women interested in joining LOLA, indicating a growing enthusiasm for our mission.
The event focused on activism and volunteering, providing a platform for meaningful discussions with women interested in LOLA. The attendees explored different avenues for activism, highlighting the significance of volunteer work in bringing about change and promoting community involvement. The discussions emphasized the crucial role that dedicated and passionate individuals play in furthering LOLA’s objectives.

LADIES NIGHT AT LP NATIONAL CONVENTION
The event aimed to raise awareness of LOLA among Libertarian Party members and recruit new members to start and join LOLA chapters. Despite the Convention business running late and preventing dozens of interested women from attending, we successfully engaged with about 20 women.
The attendees discussed LOLA’s mission and the need for more chapters across various states. Many attendees expressed interest in starting or joining chapters in their communities. Although the late schedule impacted attendance, the strong interest from those present highlighted significant growth opportunities for LOLA. Future events will aim to optimize scheduling to ensure better participation, furthering our mission of empowering women through liberty-focused activism and community building.
LOLA TEL AVIV, ISRAEL
SHAVUOT HOLIDAY MEET & GREET
LOLA Tel Aviv recently hosted a discussion focused on promoting the chapter’s goals in Israel and strategies for recruiting new members. The event emphasized the importance of expanding our network and empowering more women to join the liberty movement. Participants shared ideas to advance LOLA’s mission in Israel, emphasizing individual liberty and a free society. Innovative approaches to attract new members were discussed, including outreach programs, social media campaigns, and community events.
A key topic of the discussion was how government subsidies in agriculture disrupt the free market, leading to increased living costs. Members debated the impact of these policies and proposed alternatives to support a free market economy. The event successfully fostered a sense of community and collaboration among members. Attendees left with actionable strategies to promote our chapter’s goals and recruit new members, strengthening LOLA Tel Aviv’s presence in the liberty movement.
LOLA UBERLANDIA, MINAS GERAIS
CHALLENGES OF WOMEN’S ENTREPRENEURSHIP
LOLA Uberlandia hosted an enlightening event titled “Awakening Women to Women’s Entrepreneurship.” The focus was on overcoming challenges and understanding public policies aimed at women. The event emphasized political awareness as a crucial element for the success of women-owned businesses.
The discussion highlighted the lack of incentives for female entrepreneurship in the current political scenario. Attendees learned the importance of identifying and exercising freedom comprehensively, whether in their businesses, politics, or personal lives.
The event featured two speakers. Karine Serato, a business administrator and managing partner of Timol for over twenty years, shared her experiences expanding operations to more than 26 countries. She also spoke about her ventures in ecological tourism, founding Cabanas Monte Belo and Estância Monte Belo and managing Espaço Vila Nobre. Karine is also a mother to her greatest treasure, Victoria.
Cris Fernandes, a photographer specializing in intimate shoots, discussed her journey in transforming the lives of over 8,000 women throughout her 16-year career. Cris graduated from the Image School in Belo Horizonte and is an entrepreneur, Social Media/Marketing expert, wife, and mother of four children.
The event successfully awakened participants to the potential of female entrepreneurship and the importance of political awareness. Attendees left inspired and equipped with insights to navigate the current political landscape and exercise their freedom in all areas of their lives.
LOLA BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA
THE REBIRTH OF LIBERTY IN ARGENTINA AND BEYOND
LOLA Argentina participated in one of the most significant events of the year for the libertarian movement worldwide: “El Renacimiento de la Libertad en Argentina y Más Allá,” a conference co-sponsored by the Cato Institute and the Libertad y Progreso Foundation. The goal was not only to absorb and learn from the compelling talks about the present and future of libertarian ideas but also to represent women in this environment.
This event provided an excellent opportunity to connect with potential new members for LOLA Argentina and establish strategic links. During the conference, speakers addressed the issue of individual freedom in various aspects, with a particular focus on political and economic terms—a significant portion of the discussions centered on Argentina, especially in light of the Milei phenomenon.
By participating in this event, LOLA Argentina aimed to elevate the presence of women in the libertarian movement and foster connections that will further our chapter’s mission. The insights gained and relationships built will undoubtedly contribute to our ongoing efforts to promote liberty and individual freedom in Argentina.
LOLA SANTA CRUZ, BOLIVIA
ECONOMÍA PARA NO ECONOMISTAS: ¿ALBERTINA ES CARERA?
The main objective of this event was for attendees to understand the subjective theory of value through examples from daily life. Given Bolivia’s delicate economic situation, characterized by a shortage of currency and fuel, living a full life has become increasingly challenging.
Key topics discussed included the disparity in earnings between women’s and men’s soccer and the fluctuating prices of essential family basket products. Our speaker, Juan Pablo Suárez, an economist with a master’s degree from the Austrian School, Director of the Cruceño Institute of Economics, and past president of the College of Economists of Santa Cruz, provided valuable insights on these issues.
The event successfully illuminated the subjective theory of value and its real-world implications, helping attendees better navigate the current economic landscape in Bolivia.

VIRTUAL FILM FORUM: BECOMING
LOLA Guatemala recently organized an event focusing on freedom, female empowerment, and its various forms of representation. The event kicked off with a screening of a film addressing racist discrimination against indigenous women in the country.
Key topics discussed included the role of public opinion in supporting women’s right to freedom of expression, particularly for women in positions of power. The discussion also highlighted the importance of women creating opportunities for each other to foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
Furthermore, the event emphasized the significance of identifying professional and personal opportunities and strengths, especially in challenging circumstances. The discussions provided valuable insights and strategies to empower women to navigate and thrive despite obstacles.

LOLA Jerusalem had a table at a local event focused on the importance of discussing the economy during and after the war. The topic of economics in post-war scenarios was thoroughly explored, emphasizing the need for strategic planning and resilience.
