This November, LOLA Recife hosted two meaningful gatherings to strengthen the chapter’s community and leadership. The first was a relaxed Mardi Gras–style meetup, designed as a welcoming space for members and supporters to connect, share ideas, and deepen their local network. It was a lively reminder of the power of voluntary association and the kind of community that forms when people come together freely.
The chapter also held a leadership alignment meeting to welcome its new co-leader, Mariana Felinto, and connect her more closely with LOLA’s national and global mission. Through networking, experience-sharing, and thoughtful conversation, the meeting supported Mariana in building a stronger understanding of LOLA’s values and goals, leaving her feeling prepared to lead local initiatives with confidence and a broader strategic vision.

LOLA Espírito Santo secured a complimentary stand at the Fórum Liberdade e Democracia in Vitória—an opportunity that is typically paid, but was made possible through strategic negotiation. Local Lolas attended the forum with free tickets and represented LOLA at the stand, engaging with participants, collecting signatures, and introducing the organization to new women.Participation in the forum increased LOLA’s visibility, expanded awareness of our mission, and strengthened our growing presence in Espírito Santo.
