Hours/Flexibility

This is a work-at-home position averaging 20- 25 hours per week.

*Pay commensurate with experience and LOLA’s current budget.

Duration:

This position will be evaluated after a 3 month period and can turn into a long-term position.

  • Ability to prepare and coach speakers for media and speaking engagements.

  • Experience in global outreach and engagement.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to provide strategic insights and recommendations for improvement.

 

 Position Summary:

  • This position will connect leaders and speakers to media opportunities.
  • Establish media contacts and connect LOLA leaders to media opportunities across the globe with a primary focus in the U.S.
  • Pursue ongoing connections and outreach to the media and conference organizers, including setting up interviews, talks at major conferences and more to secure opportunities for leaders and speakers
  • Identify press opportunities for LOLA Speakers Bureau members according to their skill sets
  • Collaborate with the LOLA team on all speaker bureau efforts and participate in monthly staff calls
  • Collaborating with the communications/marketing team to integrate media with broader campaign initiatives
  • Ensure speakers are adequately prepared for engagements, providing necessary materials and support including how to talk about LOLA, how to effectively represent our organization, review and suggest key talking points, and more
  • Coordinate logistics of all speaking engagements, including scheduling, communication with event organizers, promotional content/marketing for each speaker, and more
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of each speaking engagement and lead new ways to improve
  • Monitor and report on the performance and effectiveness of media strategies
  • Prepare media evaluation and performance reports
  • Identify any skills or training LOLA can better provide to Speakers
  • Regularly identify and add members to LOLA’s Speakers Bureau and seek ways to promote existing speakers
  • Regularly update the LOLA Speakers Bureau webpage
  • Build and maintain an active, global speakers bureau
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with speakers, leaders, and partners
  • Maintain regular communication with LOLA’s Directors: Izabela Patriota and Holly Jean Soto
  • Provide monthly reports and lead monthly update calls with Directors
  • Other tasks as needed
