Where we stand:
Our guiding principle is that individuals—not the state—should make personal, economic, and social decisions for their lives.
At LOLA, we know our strength doesn’t come from agreeing on everything, but from standing on shared principles. We live by the 80/20 rule: if we agree on liberty most of the time, that common ground is enough to unite us—while leaving room for open dialogue, persuasion, and thoughtful discussion on the rest.
Our Stances
Economic Freedom
Economic freedom means unlocking doors instead of building walls. When women are free to create, trade, and invest in their own ideas, they don’t just build businesses—they transform communities. Barriers like heavy taxes, trade restrictions, and overregulation drain opportunity and punish innovation, while open markets give space for dreams to grow. LOLA envisions a world where women thrive as entrepreneurs and leaders, not because government allowed it, but because freedom made it possible.
On Free markets:
Free markets empower women. They create independence, innovation, and opportunity—without waiting for permission. Government barriers to trade, entrepreneurship, and voluntary exchange hurt those they claim to help.
On Trade:
Trade fuels prosperity. By removing tariffs and restrictions, we open doors to innovation, lower costs, and create jobs. Protectionism, on the other hand, limits consumer choice and keeps people in poverty. Economic freedom is the key to progress.
On Property Rights:
Without property rights, there is no liberty. LOLA supports the right to own, use, and exchange property freely. Excessive regulations, eminent domain abuse, and bureaucratic red tape strip individuals—especially women—of economic opportunity. Secure property rights fuel entrepreneurship, innovation, and prosperity.
On Taxation:
Taxation takes from individuals without their consent. Lower taxes mean people keep more of what they earn, fueling innovation, entrepreneurship, and prosperity. Government waste and inefficiency are not solutions—voluntary exchange and private innovation are.
On Minimum Wage:
Government-mandated wages often hurt the very workers they intend to help, leading to job losses and fewer opportunities. LOLA believes wages should be determined through voluntary agreements, not government mandates. Similarly, no one should be forced to join a union to work. Voluntary association, not coercion, is the key to economic freedom.
On the National Debt:
Government debt isn’t just a financial issue; it’s a moral one. Reckless overspending leads to inflation, higher taxes, and fewer opportunities. LOLA believes in fiscal responsibility: smaller government, balanced budgets, and individual prosperity—not endless borrowing that burdens future generations.

Individual Liberty
At the heart of libertarianism is self-ownership—the right to live as you choose, as long as you don’t harm others. LOLA stands for women’s autonomy, self-determination, and the right to build the life they want—without government interference. With freedom comes responsibility, and individuals should be free to make choices and own the consequences.
On Abortion:
We believe that decisions as personal and complex as abortion are not the role of the government to decide. Government involvement—whether through bans, mandates, restrictions, and the like—violates the principles of limited government, individual freedom, and bodily autonomy. At LOLA, we uphold liberty as the guiding standard. We support open dialogue, personal responsibility, and voluntary persuasion—not state enforcement—as the means for navigating difficult personal and moral questions. We believe liberty is best protected by restraining government, not inviting it into more areas of personal life. LOLA believes that persuasion—not state force—is the path of liberty.
On Immigration:
LOLA supports open borders and minimal government interference in the movement and association of peaceful people. Government-imposed barriers to immigration stifle prosperity, limit human potential, and infringe on individual rights. Defending borders should never become an excuse to deny freedom, punish peaceful ambition, or expand the state’s reach over individual lives. Arbitrary political boundaries should never stand in the way of human dignity or voluntary cooperation.
On Drugs:
The war on drugs is a war on individual liberty. What you put in your body is your choice—not the government’s. Prohibition has led to mass incarceration, violence, and the erosion of civil liberties. Ending drug criminalization isn’t just about policy; it’s about restoring personal freedom and reducing harm.
On Guns:
The right to self-defense is fundamental to freedom. Government policies that restrict access to self-defense tools leave individuals—especially women—vulnerable. Empowerment means having the ability to protect yourself on your own terms.
On Educational and Parental Rights:
Parents—not bureaucrats—should have the primary say in how their children are raised, educated, and cared for. Government overreach in family decisions undermines fundamental liberty. LOLA stands for parental autonomy, ensuring children’s safety through voluntary solutions, not coercive mandates.

Peace & Non-intervention
Freedom and force cannot coexist. LOLA opposes interventionist policies that impose one nation’s will on another through coercion or violence. Voluntary cooperation, free trade, and open dialogue lead to lasting peace—not military force or economic sanctions.
On Foreign Policy:
War is not just costly; it’s the ultimate failure of leadership. It drains resources, destroys lives, and expands government control. LOLA opposes wars of aggression, unnecessary military interventions, and policies that put state power above individual liberty. Real security comes from diplomacy, trade, and open dialogue—not force.
On Peace and Non-Intervention:
LOLA champions peaceful solutions to global challenges. We oppose interventionist policies and advocate for voluntary cooperation and mutual respect among nations and individuals.
